Baja 2004
| In April of 2004, a caravan of trucks and trailers hauling a sub, a boat, a ton of gear and a few motorcycles, left the U.S. bound for Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Little did we know that we were headed for the time of our life.
After a mildly uneventful trip down the peninsula, we arrived in Loreto at the end of April and began setting up our base camp. We operated out of a little anchorage called Puerto Escondido, which worked great for us, even though it wasn't very developed at the time.
Once we were setup, we ran sub ops for the entire month of May, virtually uninterrupted. It was a heckuva lot of work, but the opportunity to meet so many great people made it all worth it.
We did however, manage to have a little bit of fun in our meager free time. Not surprisingly, that fun revolved around motorcycles and surfing! Check out the videos and you'll get an idea of what I'm talking about.

In the end we had a great time, and thoroughly enjoyed the people and nature of Loreto. It's truly a beautiful place, and we can't wait to go back!
